Caring for your fabrics
General washing, drying and ironing guidance by fiber type, for all fabrics.
Acetate
Washing: Hand wash in cold water, keeping colors separate. Don't twist or wring.
Drying: Hang to dry.
Ironing: Best avoided. Dry cleaning gives the best result.
Acrylic
Washing: Machine wash in warm water, or hand wash in cold.
Drying: Tumble dry on low.
Ironing: Low heat, if needed.
Bamboo
Washing: Hand wash in cold water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle.
Drying: Air dry — skip the tumble dryer and dry cleaning.
Ironing: Low heat, if required.
Coolmax®
Washing: Machine wash in warm water, or hand wash in cold.
Drying: Air dry, to protect the fabric's elasticity and finish.

Cupro

Drying: Lay flat to dry.

Denim
Washing: Machine wash inside-out in cold water. Skip bleach and harsh detergents.
Drying: Line dry, or tumble dry on low.
Ironing: Medium heat with steam, if needed.
Raw (Untreated) Denim
Washing: Wash sparingly to protect the color — hand wash or soak in cold water with a mild detergent when needed.
Drying: Hang to dry in the shade; skip the tumble dryer.
Ironing: Inside-out, low-to-medium heat with steam.
Linen/Hemp
Washing: Machine wash in cold water.
Drying: Air dry, or tumble dry on low.
Ironing: Iron while still damp. Can be dry cleaned.
Merino Wool

Drying: Tumble dry on low-to-medium-high heat.
Ironing: Medium-hot iron, always on the reverse side to avoid a shiny mark.
Nylon
Washing: Machine wash in cold water, or hand wash.

Triacetate
Washing: Hand wash in cold water.

Ironing: Cool iron if needed. Dry cleaning gives the best result.
Velvet
Washing: Skip washing by hand or machine — professional dry cleaning is recommended to protect the texture and sheen.
Drying: Lay flat. Never tumble dry.
Ironing: Avoid ironing, as it flattens the pile. Use a handheld steamer instead, or hang the piece in a steamy bathroom to release creases.
Wool
Washing: Dry cleaning is recommended, though some wools can be hand washed.
Drying: Dry flat, to prevent stretching.
Ironing: Often not needed — smoother wools can look better pressed. Always use steam, on the wool setting, once the fabric is fully dry.
